The emerging market Turkey is one of the countries that has high entrepreneurship potential. Enhancing the entrepreneurship potential highly relies on personality traits of individuals. It is important to determine the entrepreneurial orientation and proactive personality of university students to support young entrepreneurship. The main purpose of the research is to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and proactive personality of university students. Determining the differences among socio-demographic groups regarding the entrepreneurial orientation and proactive personality consists the secondary purpose. For these purposes 462 online surveys conducted. Results claim strong positive correlation between entrepreneurial orientation and proactive personality. According to the self-evaluations of the students being self-confident as a positive and being withdrawn as a negative personality trait are the leading ones. Entrepreneurial orientations of the students who take entrepreneurship courses, wish to continue graduate education, had job experience and plan to start their own businesses found to be higher.
