Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the environmental attitudes of secondary school 7th and 8th grade students in terms of different variables. The research was conducted online survey with 527 students who were selected by simple random sampling. Three dimensions were determined as a result of the factor analysis. Three dimensions was defined environmental insensitivity environmental emotion and environmental behavior. The data obtained were analyzed with the ready-made software named SmartPLS. As a result of the analysis, a negative correlation was found between environmental insensitivity and environmental emotion, as well as between environmental insensitivity and environmental behavior. It has been concluded that there is a positive correlation between environmental emotion and environmental behavior. It was determined that environmental insensitivity affects environmental behavior through environmental emotion. It was determined that male students’ environmental insensitivity is higher than those of female students.
